Alloptic is a manufacturer of optical networking products for access
networks. We are developing low-cost optical networking equipment that allows telephone
and cable TV companies to deliver high-bandwidth services (telephone, data, video) to
business and residential areas.
The access network extends from the local exchange to the end-user subscriber. In this
network section, communication companies provide user services that include telephone,
internet, ISDN, xDSL, leased line, E1/T1, and television. In order to meet the surge in
demand for bandwidth with a "future-proof" structure, optical fiber is needed
deeper in the access network. The Alloptic PON! extends optical fiber from the local
exchange toward the subscriber. It is a passive optical network that is based on both Time
Division Multiplex Access (TDMA) and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology
that used by communication service providers; primarily telephone and cable television
companies. Alloptic PON! equipment is installed in both the local central hub facilities
and also adjacent to user premises.
If you are a strategic planner for telecom/datacom/CATV networks, and you want to increase
your service reach, market share and range of revenue generating services while keeping
installation and OAM&P costs low, please contact us.
