and over the years have been involved with the development and manufacture of glass
working machinery. In 1977 we were involved in helping develop equipment to produce
Optical Fibre, as a viable production process for the telecommunications industry. From
that day Heathway has grown into being the largest
manufacturer of Optical Fibre draw towers in the world, with offices in the USA and a
network of Agents around the globe. We can offer a complete range of equipment for the
production of Optical Fibre, on a turnkey basis, from preform manufacture to drawing,
colouring, screen testing and ribboning the fibre. Additionally, we produce AVNS machines
for the TV tube industry, special draw towers for soft glass and plastics, machines for
redrawing large quartz rod billets and tubing as well as general scientific glass working
equipment.
