ILX Lightwave
is a leading provider of innovative, laboratory fiber-optic and electro-optic test
equipment. Founded in 1986, the company established a new standard in laser diode
instrumentation products by supplying customers with very low noise, high stability
instruments. Over the past decade, ILX Lightwave's instruments have been used in
laboratories around the world to probe and expand the rapidly changing technology of
semiconductor laser diodes.
Today ILX Lightwave is the acknowledged world leader in laser diode instrumentation
products and is expanding into important new product areas. The company's charter is to
design, develop, manufacture, and market innovative, high quality instrumentation for the
growing laser/electro-optics industry. Building on years of experience in laser diode
control, in 1992 ILX Lightwave introduced a line of precision fiber-optic sources. In 1993
the company continued its expansion into new product areas with the introduction of an
innovative laser wavelength meter and an optical multimeter.
ILX Lightwave is located in a new 22,000 square foot (2,040 square meter) facility in
Bozeman, Montana. Facilities include excellent R&D and quality assurance labs as well
as a flexible, JIT-based manufacturing line.
Southwestern Montana was chosen as the permanent site for the company's headquarters
because of the scenic beauty and quality of life that this region has to offer. ILX
Lightwave's employees enjoy unparalleled access to fishing, skiing, hiking, and other
outdoor activities in one of America's premier natural settings.
Today ILX Lightwave is working hard to create new and innovative products to meet the
increasingly sophisticated needs of its customers. Perhaps more importantly, the company
is fine tuning its product designs, manufacturing processes, and customer support. ILX
Lightwave is committed to the idea that quality is not just something you build into a
product - it's something you build into everything you do.
