Group is a group of companies with a centralised vertical structure that develops and
manufactures high-powered amplifiers and fiber lasers of revolutionary design with
multiple applications.
By using fibers of unique composition and geometry, IRE-Polus has developed and introduced
revolutionary amplifier technology which provides quantum leap improvements in amplifier
design and application. The nearest competition is testing prototypes of fiber amplifiers
with 100mW - 500mW output, while IRE-Polus has achieved excellent results with amplifiers
lines of up to 9W output for commercial applications, as well as more than fifty other
kinds of fiber lasers and related products scaled up to 40W CW power and 100kW peak power.
The first commercial 4W output power erbium amplifier was produced in 1994, and is now
being used in airborne applications.
Our excellence in product design is achieved through the use of innovative technology like
parallel pumping, which provides virtually unlimited power output in fiber devices.
IRE-Polus is the only company employing parallel pumping, as well the incorporation of
multimode diodes with single mode fibers. Both employ a patented coupler technology.
