Optical Coating
Laboratory, Inc. (OCLI) is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of optical
thin film coatings and components used to manage light. OCLI’s products control and
enhance light by altering its various wavelengths to achieve specific effects such as
reflection, refraction, absorption, abrasion resistance, anti-glare and electrical
conductivity. End market applications include fiber optic telecommunications systems,
orbital satellites, computer monitors and flat panel displays, projection systems,
photocopiers, fax machines, scanners and medical and analytical instrumentation.
Additionally, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Flex Products, Inc. (Flex), OCLI
manufactures optically variable pigments used on the high value currencies of 55 countries
around the world to prevent counterfeiting, including the U.S. $100, $50 and $20 bills.
Flex also markets its patented ChromaFlairŪ light interference pigments to the decorative
paint markets for use in automotive paints and other consumer products.
