PICOSECOND
PULSE LABS (PSPL) specializes in producing high quality pulse instrumentation with an
emphasis on very fast risetimes in the picosecond region. The two major product lines are
very fast Pulse Generators and Broadband Coaxial Components. PSPL also makes time domain
and spectrum calibration products. PSPL was founded in 1980 by James R. Andrews, Ph.D. as
a "spin-off" from NBS. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and formerly worked for many
years in time domain metrology at the USA National Bureau of Standards (now
NIST). The
vice-president and chief engineer of PSPL is Martin Van Pelt.
