Our Global Advantage:
Siemens Information and Communication Networks was formed as a result of a reorganization
of Siemens telecommunication groups. Collectively, the global operating groups
participating in the reorganization represent approximately 40 percent of the $64 billion
in revenues that Siemens reported during fiscal year 1997, and approximately 25 percent of
its employee base.
With annual revenues of approximately $1.8 billion and approximately 8,000 employees,
Siemens Information and Communication Networks was established by merging the operations
of Siemens Telecom Networks and Siemens Business Communication Systems. In addition to
Siemens Information and Communication Networks, other business groups within the Siemens
Information and Communications family include Siemens Information and Communication
Products and Siemens Business Services.
