Communications, Inc. was formed in 1991 to design, manufacture and sell fiber optic
connectivity products.
Initially, TC Communications concentrated on general purpose fiber optic modems and
multiplexers. These products provide simple, low cost methods for interconnecting
Asynchronous, Synchronous and T1/E1 devices.
Realizing that it needed to expand its product focus to grow, TC Communications embarked
on an innovative long range Research & Development strategy in the fall of 1993. Its
goal was to offer more efficient, flexible products at lower prices. To meet this goal, TC
Communications began basing all product designs (and completely re-designed every existing
product) on modern Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. FPGA offers enormous
benefits including unmatched flexibility and low cost.
This long range strategy has been successful. TC Communications’ products surpass
older, traditional fiber optic hardware devices in virtually every aspect---notably price
and performance. Today, TC Communications offers the most flexible, modern line of fiber
optic connectivity products in the marketplace.
TC Communcations' current product line is broad and varied. It includes a wide assortment
of Modems and Multiplexers, Multimode-to-Single Mode Converters, Ethernet Bridges, LAN
Mode Converters, LAN Transceivers, and specialty devices for SCADA and Process Control
applications.
Because TC's primary mission is to provide high quality products to its customers, its
primary measure of success is a satisfied customer.
