Current UBP product areas include:
SONET/SDH fiber optic assemblies for telecom applications at 2.5 and 10 Gb/s rates. UBP supplies both line transmission and test equipment
at these rates.  Gigabit Ethernet fiber optic extenders and high speed data modems for extending LAN distances to 100 km. HIPPI extenders for interconnecting supercomputers to high-end workstations via optical fiber are supplied to the datacomm market.  Wide bandwidth fiber optic antenna remoting systems up to 3 GHz are supplied to the satellite communications industry for earth station up/down links. Antenna microcell remoting links for the cellular radio, PCS and GSM wireless infrastructure industry are also supplied by UBP.  UBP also offers a wide range of laboratory fiber optic test equipment for industry, laboratory and research institutions.
