Originally founded in 1995 as Terabit Technologies, this company was purchased by Ciena Corporation in 1998. As a division of Ciena, we continued an aggressive research program focusing on the development of high speed avalanche photodetectors (APDs) and pin photodetectors. Our acquisition by Walsin Lihwa in March 2002 has allowed us to expand our product development team and granted us the resources to become more responsive to customer interest.
With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spanning 12,000 Sq. feet, we are focused on meeting the needs of our customers, both today and in the future. Not only do we have the on-site capacity to meet current market demands, we also have the resources, through the assistance of our parent company, for future expansion to competitively lead an increasing market demand.
