Jose, CA -- HCA the
High-Speed Communications Alliance, a non-profit forum for companies,
organizations and individuals dealing with optical technologies 10 Gb/s and above, is being formed in Silicon
Valley to serve the many companies engaged in the field of optical
technology. The
goals of the HCA are as follows:
The
HCA will hold monthly meetings featuring speakers on business, market and
technology subjects covering the development of optical systems,
applications and components for this exciting new market area. The
first meeting will be held Thursday April 25, 2002 at the Agilent
Technologies office in Santa Clara CA from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The inaugural talk will be Future of Light presented by
Jagdeep Singh founder, President and CEO of Infinera Inc. (formerly Zepton
Networks). Mr. Singh is well
known in the world of Optical Communications having successfully formed
OnFiber Communications, Lightera Networks and AirSoft.
He was also a partner at InterWest Partners a venture capital
company. People
