to the fiber optics and fiber connector manufacturing marketplace.
CPMeasureTM is a low-cost, machine vision based metrology tool
for measuring core pitch on MT and other multiple-fiber connectors.
It is unique in that it utilizes Tamar’s Technology’s
patented EtherGlowTM illumination technology, for a high
contrast and accurate image of the fiber core in reflection.
Traditional methods involve illuminating the fiber from behind
(transmission), which, due to light scatter, can result in an inaccurate
representation of the core position. CPMeasureTM
features advanced signal processing vision metrology software for
outstanding repeatability and sub-pixel resolution. CPMeasureTM
measures core pitch and provides a Pass/Fail tolerance check, along with
measured results, statistics, and export options. Tamar
Technology’s Vision Metrology Image Processor (VMIP) uses advanced
signal processing techniques to measure the core pitch by placing two
cores in the field of view at once, thus eliminating the need for costly
and maintenance intensive mechanical components. In addition to dramatically lowering the system and
facilities costs, CPMeasure is flexible and easy to use.
